Sarah Sung

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

A mother of two boys, ages 13 and 8, Sarah became interested in reading issues when she noticed her first son struggle to decode words even as he entered 3rd grade. She acquired a passion for the plight of dyslexic and other struggling readers and their families. She asked Anton to channel his expertise into helping solve the literacy crisis and Wordflow was born. Previously, Sarah worked as a management consultant. She is a graduate of The University of Pennsylvania (B.S. Economics) and Harvard Business School (MBA).

Anton Schwartz

Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer

An expert in skill acquisition, Anton’s innovations have been cited in hundreds of research papers, in both Artificial Intelligence and Neuroscience. He earned his B.A. in Mathematics and Philosophy at Harvard University (Phi Beta Kappa) and performed pioneering research in Machine Learning as an NSF Doctoral Fellow at Stanford University, where he pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Science.

After Stanford, Anton became a nationally acclaimed jazz saxophonist and music educator. He is a longtime faculty member of the California Jazz Conservatory and has taught extensively at the Stanford Jazz Workshop and the Brubeck Institute. A lifelong struggling reader himself, Anton saw cognitive parallels between the task of helping musicians acquire the deep mental structures necessary for musical fluency and that of helping students acquire the deep structures needed for reading fluency.

Wordflow brings to bear Anton’s expertise in skill acquisition and efficient learning to the field of reading.
